Yufit Assemblies

The project under the general title Yufit Assemblies was launched in 2002. It is devoted to the memory of Anatoly Yufit (1925-1978) – the famous theatre researcher, who had initiated and in 1968 founded the furs in the USSR program on the professional theatre management education. The general direction of the project is an analysis of the cultural life of the country, promotion of innovative projects in the cultural sphere, including the field of continuing education. The core events, held under the title of the Yufit Assemblies, are the annual international conferences, which are aimed at the exchange of the Russian and world experience on the burning issues of the today’s cultural life.

Since 1993 at this biennial festival meet representatives of innovative theater, who combine in their work classics of one of the oldest forms of the theater with the contemporary stage language - from Petrouchka to happening.
The festival not only demonstrated the best performances of the last two years, but also includes research conferences, discussions, meetings of practitioners of the puppetry and mixed art formers.
